My Birthday

This was the day where it all comes my 11th Birthday. Waking up in the morning I screamed for excitement I knew this day was going to be the best day for my birthday.


I got dressed and run to my dad to give him a cuddle he said to me “happy birthday” with a kiss on my right check. As we hopped in the car my dad ask me “where should we go its your birthday?” I said “to Valentines”.


As we got there I was shocked looking everywhere I did see my family. It seemed like they forgotten about my birthday I was really sad I wanted to go back in the car. But then SURPRISE!! I got a fright I just laughed sitting down my two uncles brang me this huge cake I was thinking that big cake can’t fit in my mouth. I was so excited to hear my family singing happy birthday to me it really makes me happy.



My 11th Birthday was the best going to different places I haven't been was so fun. Even though my cake it tasted delicious I can’t want for my next birthday I wish it was even fun.

Rugby World Cup 2011

On Friday September the 16th All Blacks is going to VS Japan for the Rugby world cup in Hamilton. It is going to start at 8:00. I think All Blacks is going to win because Dan Carter the best kicker he will be there and also Richy macaw the most best coach in the All blacks. I think All Blacks score is going to be 69 and Japan 27 All blacks will be way ahead from Japan.

Best Friends Forever

Hi my name is Maru and I have three friends they are Sesalina,Eleva and Elizabeth. They are my best friends we are always there for each other and taking care one other. Me Sesalina,Eleva and Elizabeth were friends when we were little. We love school because its cool we love maths, writing and reading but you know whats really cool about my friends we never break our hearts by hurting each other. Only showing respect to others and love each other.

Badminton

As I change the person I'm vs my heart beated so fast I felt so perseverance and determination. Holding the grip of the racket gently I threw the shuttle up in the air and used my backhand to swing. Looking at my partner hitting the shuttle back to me I got frustrated I forgotten how to use my backhand and my forehand.


I kept on hitting the shuttle anyway I was so nervous I didn’t know what to do. So I hit the shuttle a bit harder as it went up it went straight down so fast my partner missed it “yes I won”. It wasn't finished there was another person to and vs me “no”. I was more nervous my heart even beated faster I was thinking I mate lose.


I was thinking to myself I am going to win. I couldn't wait it was my turn to serve as I used my forehand to serve my partner was laughing at me as my partner hit the shuttle back to me. I felt tickle in myself I couldn't’t hold it I was going to laugh I hit it back and my partner hit it back to me. As I run up to it I slip and hit myself I could of won that.

New Zealand

New Zealand is a beautiful country,and a must do for any travel holiday. In our beautiful country there are idyllic islands with lush rain forest. Also there is a multi cultural population but the indigenous people are the Maori.

New Zealand has a spectacular and diverse landscape, and a temperate climate. In our country there are spectacular beautiful landscape that are surrounded by the sea. Also 30% of New Zealand is conservation land to protect many native species.

The new makeover

Unfortunately, Room 17 needs a makeover for the courtyard. There are many reasons for this, the fields are closed and it seems to be all crowded. It is disgusting and it is not a enticing place and its just a waste the courtyard hasn't been used. We really need to convince the builders we need our courtyard to be a better play area immediately.!!


This is important we need our play area to be a better place to play in, so we can entice kids to come in. We want kids to play in our courtyard because if the fields are closed they can use our own remake over courtyard.


I feel sympathise for the courtyard because it is revolting and hideous. Especially the drinking fountain and the cracks on the concrete just really horrible. We are defiantly going to make our play area recovered. So it can be fun for other kids to play in and even though if the fields are closed the kids can use our courtyard for more space.



We have been talking about how can we save up money for the things we want in our courtyard. We had a plan we decided to make cupcakes so if kids wants some they have to pay a gold coin. We set our tables and cupcakes in the breeze as we looked at the cupcakes it made us hungry we wanted some. So miss Garden gave each of us two dollars for the cupcakes mm mm yum I couldn’t wait to eat them.

This movie was set way up in the sky.
The characters are a Stork and the storming cloud.

The movie started off when the storks deliver the babies.

All of a sudden the stormy cloud got so angry his anger grew and grew suddenly thundering thunder shook and roared like a lion.
He had evil eyes to show his anger, little drops of water pours down as stormy cloud is crying to himself. Something comes at the back of him, it was the stork giving him a gift, it was a safety suit. The storming cloud was surprised he started to open his arms to give him a big hug.

I give this movie ten out of ten because I think it was a good movie and it has great ideas, I really enjoyed.

Technology

Room seventeen is learning about redesigning our courtyard. But we had a problem our court yard was to small. There wasn't enough space to play and theres nothing to do. So we had a plan to work together to rebuild our courtyard and put new things in it.


It was hard work, we had to put everything that we could think of. So I planned to put three big trees, tables and chairs, drinking fountain, steps and two netball hoops. It was really hard work, it took me an hour.

Netbook Case Design

Designing my own imaginary fashion bag I added a flat TV,IPhone 4,a voice locker also a machine hands that can come and pick up my rubbish. I did this because I think it will be cool having something that I always wanted. I picked a flat TV because if there’s heaps of people watching TV and there’s not much room I can use the TV I put on my bag.

Marble Track Challenge

Miss Ouano gave us a few tips how to make a marble track. She only said for rules one meter of sallow tape, six pieces of news paper and one marble, it was a tough challenge. We only had ten more minutes I didn't know if we were going to finish this on time. When we were ready we went off to our table to start the challenge.


We were testing if the news paper was strong enough for the marble to go through, it was useless. The news paper was to thin that the marble made the news paper go down. We didn't know what to do. Five more minutes said Miss Ouano OH NO!. We didn't have enough time we started to rush, we grabbed everything we could find and tyred to make the news paper thick.

Saying good bye to my Nana was just so sad. I didn’t say anything I quickly ran to my Nana and whisper in her ear and told her I loved her. I didn’t want her to go because she was my best Nana I ever had as I hugged her I could feel one tear in my eyes coming down. I sadly asked her where is she going she said she was going to Rarotonga for the reunion.


Watching my Nana walking though the door and getting on the plane some of my family were crying but me I was the worst I kept on crying. Once the plane took off it was time for us to go as I was in the car I looked though the window. My mum told me do you want to eat fish and chips I said nothing I kept my mouth shut.

If I was a hen I would have a TV and a chair also three hens on top of me in the nesting box.

My Pt England Flag

Hi My name is Maru I chose hope because I think it will be good for my design. I painted brown for my mountain and the nice green grass for green. I chose blue for my lake I was thinking if I could paint green for my background but a different green. Once I’m done I got a pastel and colour in a nice dark green but on the top and the bottom bit.

I had to colour it in a bit thick. Also in the middle of my hope but out side on the out line I colour it in the same colour. I was a bit unsure that my work wouldn’t be good for Miss M I was nervous I may not make Miss M proud so I put a bit effort on my work. So I finished and gave my work to Miss M to show if I did good, she said it was fantastic. Then we had to put it on the wall to show the lovely visitors what we did in room seventeen.

The Soap Box Derby

Today is Sunday the day has finally arrived the PES kids had to be at Stonefied where the netball courts are. I was so exicited I couldn't wait. Once I got there with my family it took a while for me to look for Mr Jacobson as I saw Mr jacobson he gave me a brad new t-shrit. When I turned around I saw a new preson it was a woman she was a nice lady she told me her name it was Mrs J. As every one was here the race had started.



The race finally begins I was the first racer I had to vs the other kids from a different school. It looked like I was nervous about I won't be able to win this race as I hopped into the car I was really scared. My heart was beating super fast its like I'm going to explode like a volcano I wasn't ready. But then I heard something I heard the cheer crew cheering for me suddenly I was happy and I could win the race.



Racing down the road all I could feel was the wind blowing my hair like a hair dryer I could also hear that whistling noise inside my ear. Going to the finished line I recognised that I came first I jumped out of the car and ran to Mr Jacobson and said I came first. He was really proud of me and he gave me a hi 5 on the hand. So my parents came to me and give me a big hug they said you did really good I smiled.



At prize giving the man gave us a trophy for the best pit crew then it went to the other school we I didn't hear our school win but we tried our best. We all went to the van to get dressed I was steal to the man that was on the microphone but what actually happened was I heard the man said the fastest driver in each team go to Mary from Pt England . School then we think we said there's no Mary then they said sorry its Maru Mehau I was surprised me and Mr J ran to get my trophy my dad ran to take a picture of me and Mr J I was really happy what I did.

Whats a Unicorn?

The unicorn was white, and it had a long horn in front of its head.
It looked like a horse that lived in India. But there was no such thing as this animal.
The unicorn got mixed up with the rhinoceros. Because the Greek man was supposed to draw a rhinoceros but then it ended up like a horse.

The Tree Hut Treaty

I read a book called Tree Hut Treaty.

I felt curious when the new neighbours came, because I don't know if they are going to be good neighbours. I felt indignant when the tree hut was so popular there weren't enough kids to go inside because it was to small. I felt anxious when Jack Manaia Crystal and Tia were going to make a tree hut treaty and everything was just fine also they don't have to fright again.

Our New Netbook

I can take my netbook home any time and any place.
When ever I take my books at home I can take them any time and any place.

It was so overwhelming when our netbooks arrived .It was intriguing to see Mrs Burt holding a lot of box when she came in. Everyone in room 17 found it overwhelming when Mrs Burt called out our names to get our box of netbooks. Opening the lid of my box I felt like I was in a hurry to open it very quickly like a Christmas present.

Holiday Highlight

In my hole life this was an most embarrassing day I ever had. I went to Club Raro where Cook Island people go to. That day I had to dance in a Cook Island way because it was my nans birthday. Every one was looking at me I wish no one was looking at me, it was really embarrassing but I got use to it. All of my family came up to me and gave me money and my cousins. After my dancing was finish I had to dance fast. People were cheering and dancing as well I was laughing and laughing I could’nt stop. Finally it was all over I was sweating like a pig. I was relieved when I went back home and have a nice cool shower.
